Qasqiq House (Kah-Sgik)

Named after the traditional Inupiaq communal gathering place, Qasgiq House is designed to be a safe, welcoming, and culturally grounded shelter for medically fragile and homeless individuals in Anchorage.

Just as the original Qasgiq served as the heart of the village — a place for learning, sharing, and community — Qasgiq House provides a space where residents can receive care, build connections, and access essential services with dignity, respect, and cultural awareness.

Our mission is to offer more than shelter; Qasgiq House is a place of healing, support, and resilience, honoring tradition while meeting the needs of Alaska’s most vulnerable populations.
